Sometimes its easier to write on one of the release sheets what you want...assuming they speak english.....i wonder if there is a sign for telling them the aft cargo is still indicating open...

A twisting fist is the hand signal to "check doors". It has always been recognized by the rampies when I have used it.

I would just open the window and lean way out and holler "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT????????????"

I was being parked one day and the lead marshaler held his hands in the stop sign, then proceeded to move them (while still in the X) trying to bring me forward. I had no idea what he wanted me to do. I stopped, he got pissed and walked away.
