I wish someone would pull the plug on that airline.

Man, that's a classless thing to wish.
Do you know how many good pilots and their families depend on that airline?

Ask any aloha, Midwest, or ATA pilot about that. I wouldn't wish liquidation on anyone. There are always a percentage who's career ends with a liquidation. Imagine being 57 when that happens.

Unless of course you were a TWA pilot not integrated then the result is the same as "out of business" for pilots
 
My guess is if there's any truth to the rumor, it's because the entire airline is about to be bought. Next round of consolidation IMO. In that scenario I do hope/believe alpa fragmentation policy will be in play.
 
Pull the plug on the brand. Restart as something else and stick with a business model rather than a dart board. Of course I don't want any pilots to lose their job.
