I specifically will not, and refuse to, help throw bags at all. First off, it covers a problem. If they are short on rampers, the company gets away with keeping them short staffed if the flights keep leaving on time.

Second - I have a friend who learned the very, very hard way that - as PCL said - hurt himself throwing a bag to help out, and was refused workers comp due it it being outside his job description. This was a huge financial blow to him. After seeing what he went through in the name of 'helping out' I will let that flight sit there as long as it takes before I'll lend a hand. I didn't write the rulebook, but I'll play by it.
