Former America West Pilots send out political flyer to East Pilots

Well

Today I received a political flyer mailed from the Leonidas, LLC trying to blame the "junior, relatively young, East First officers who were furloughed at the time of this merger" as the culprits who are denying the rest of the US Airways pilot group an industry-standard contract.

How pathetic that this is who they chose to blame - people who had the ultimate sacrifice of being on the street while all the former AWA pilots stayed employed. This proves the ultimate goal of the West - when the NIC was issued - the West wanted to capture East Captain slots - and when LAS was downsized, they wanted to also capture East First Officer Slots! (But I know the comeback is going to be that the LAS pilots were furloughed out of seniority - even though we are on separate contracts).

And finally, when the flyer concludes with a message to OUR Fellow Pilots - correction - we are defendants and you are the plaintiffs - Leonidas, LLC concludes with " both East and West pilot groups are heavily armed legally and financially" - correction - the West still owes hundreds of thousands of dollars to your attorney - lets see how that works out when they decide to collect without a judgment that doesn't award damages to the plaintiffs?

And finally - how did Leonidas, LLC get my home address? Maybe the PHX rep could ask for an investigation about that?

What did you expect to happen? Those were TWO different airlines!! All I hear in your post is bitter jealousy and regret that you chose to stick with a proven loser of an airline time and again. Tough Shizz. Nobody cares how bad you think you've had it, nobody cares what you THINK your entitled to. Get it? Nobody gives a Shizz. Holly Hegeman is right when she observed that the "East pilots are just as Delusional as ever".

Sorry dude, "ripeness" isn't a win at all. Seham just got lucky. He now gets to keep bilking you idiots for millions more. You have two choices, embrace reality and move fwd with the Nic. or LOA93 and food stamps. Nothing based in history or reality should ever offer a rational person any hope of a choice other than the two above. Seniority obviously isn't a "crew meal".

Thanks for all the laughs I got from reading your very intelligent response! as to your quote "nobody cares what you THINK your entitled to" - you have it totally backwards - not even 1% of the East Pilots want a PHX slot - we just want our attrition on the East side - but lets question what 99% of the West thinks they are entitled to - East Captain AND East First officer positions. IT IS JUST NOT GOING TO HAPPEN THAT WAY - and when you realize that - then maybe we can move forward for a joint contract with C & R that protect all pre-merger expectations - for both EAST & WEST.

It's in the arbitrator's hands and he'll answer when he wants to. Not trying to be snarky but that's the answer. He's having some health issues and that could cause more delay.
