Jeez, I come here to talk aviation and get away from all that political s**t, but I see there's no safe haven.

Could we all please turn down the volume on all of the political noise! Let the folks who have chosen to join the GOP in the wilderness figure out on their own that the sky is not falling.

On the other hand, if I were a Democrat, I would consider donating cash to the draft "Rush for President" movement. Having that fugly, fat, drug addicted blowhole as the Republican spokesman, pretty much guarantees Obama's second term.

So have you checked out how many of your Democatic idiots are tax dodgers??

Have you checked out how many of your Republican idiots are embezzlers and adulterers?

I been busy lately, did Bernie Madoff, Eliot Spitzer and Bill Clinton become Republicans?

Wish you actually read the whole post before jumping to erroneous conclusions!

What makes you so convinced that I'm a Democrat? Really just trying to point out that if you are a Republican, who wants to ever actually see your party win again, you might not really want the worst idiots in your party driving the ship. Haven't we all seen enough of Bumbledee and Bumbledumb politics in the last 8 years and the resultant mess that has left us all in!

Irregardless, whether tax dodgers, adulterers, embezzlers, or whatever, they are all ours no matter what party they claim to represent.

In short, God help us all.

In short, America needs a third party that is viable and can pull in voters because neither the repubs nor the dems are what the country needs. The whole system needs to be rebooted with fresh non-corrupt faces seated in the senate and house seats. Our government is starting to resemble the Roman Senate when it went completely corrupt and ignorant to the people that they were supposed to be working FOR and not against!

Wow, I feel the same way. I have often thought of working to form the "NEW AMERICAN" political party. I agree with your sentiments. We need a new and fresh party that can hold itself accountable by abiding by its own rules...

1st being, "Congressmen shall serve no more than 3 consecutive terms, Senators no more than two."

I majored in Poli Science and while I live through life with a smile and a joke... I take the politics serious.

I've got one! Although it's for the whole congress....

"A panel consisting of one member from each party from each house of congress shall have the power of line item veto over each piece of legislation before it goes to the executive branch."
Or, if we are talking about just one party, then it can have its own panel to cut pork. The other parties might be shamed into following along. Can you imagine? Anybody else?

I disagree with you. There should be no consecutive terms. First, in their four or six year term they won't spend the last year and half campaining thus working. Second, if they did that great they can get re-elected in the future. And last, it keeps people from living off the government tit forever and forces SOME of these guys to get a job in the real world.

Those are all great ideas. Too bad there's a constitution.

Article I:

Section 2. The House of Representatives shall be composed of members chosen every second year by the people of the several states, and the electors in each state shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the state legislature.

Section 3. The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each state, chosen by the legislature thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote.

Not much about term limits there...

Too bad those nifty little things called Amendments have to be passed by both the House & Senate before they can go to the states for ratification...

(that is, unless we can get the legislatures in 2/3 the states to call for a Constitutional Convention...but again, will politicians really place term limits on other politicians?)
