Just wondering how saturated the Florida charter market is. Could a guy stay busy with a light twin or turboprop out to the Bahamas over the winter?

It is pretty saturated down here and now would not be a good time to enter the charter business as we are down 25% from last year. There are quite a few companies that run out to the Bahamas and other islands using a variety of aircraft (ie, Navahos, Caravan's, Conquests, King Air's, 421's and 402's, etc) from a host of airports (SUA, PBI, BCT, FXE, etc).

And those are the legal ones. You still have to compete with the (ahem) other ones.

I know a charter company that is looking for a King Air to manage/operate in Miami (TMB), right now.

True Story

You know you have arrived in South Florida when you see Lear 20 series operators with Macy's Mannequins occupying the right seat to "save money".

Is Connie back down here??????

Oh yeah, can't be him. The tip off was Macy's. Connie is a Walmart or Target kind of guy.
