Log In Problems

The 1108 message board turnover was not seamless. There was an email preparing us for outage this weekend but I, like most folks, didn't read it. When it is resolved, I will advise via a posting on this thread. Until then enjoy hanging together on this site.

...And until you get an actual EMAIL from a FLOPS UNION address don't sign in or give info anywhere! Anyone can join FlightInfo...your union leaders have everyone's contact info and should and likely will transmit that info through the PROPER channels. This site is ripe for ANYONE lead us to a crafty new "union site".

What are you talking about? Read the last couple pages of the big thread. YOUR OWN PEOPLE are admitting that it was a routine problem switching the message board over, and have asked for, and RECEIVED (so much for our leaders running) help from one of our leaders in fixing the problem.

No one is running.

vBulletin is very finicky software. All you have to do is to look at Flight Info or even our board and you'll see periods where it just goes down. With all the moving files around and backing things up that's going on right now and it's a recipe for disaster.

I think we've figured out the problem and as soon as someone with the keys to the site shows up, we should be able to get it up and running.

What on earth are you talking about? My post, if you are referring to this thread, is still here...and consists of only common sense. When a screen name (this thread) that posted ONCE before and just signed up a couple of months ago, says they'll be letting people know about the "new board" caution should ALWAYS be exercised.
I have never deleted ANY of my posts, thank you.

Just out of curiosity, will spouses be allowed to register for the 1108 board? Going on past practice, I had advised (in posts and PMs) Options wives to join their board and I'd like to know if I should continue to do so--or not? Thanks, NJW

Spouses of Flight Options Pilots are strongly encouraged to join and participate in the IBT 1108 message board. They can have access to everything on the board, plus they have their own area which is off limits to everyone but themselves, the moderators, and a limited number of leaders with specific reason to be there.
The FO pilot group is rapidly approaching a very critical point in the bargaining process. There has never been a more important time for the spouses to become informed and involved.
Thank you for asking about this, and by all means, please continue to encourage the FO spouses to join the board and participate. If you, or anyone else knows of an interested FO spouse, please PM me. I'll certainly get them started in the right direction.

Thanks, guys! I was pretty sure that policy would continue but I didn't want to make any assumptions (about the tech side of things) now that the board has changed hands. I totally agree that this is a critical time in the negotiations for family members to be informed/involved. Please extend to your group my best wishes and encouragement. NJW
