Things are going well, from what I understand. Eight months into negotiations, with very significant progress. The pilot group is coming together day by day in strong solidarity. Lot's of IBT pins out there. If you see one of our guys out on the road and he is wearing a pin that means he is a member of the union. If he is not wearing a pin he is not.
I think we will get a strong industry standard contract, we just need to understand and be patient with the process, not give into managements FUD and stand together.
I am a former FLOPs guy who ran in to a couple of FLOPs/Beechjet buds in LAS this week.
Almost 100 guys have left in the last 9 months. The check airmen that I spoke to said more guys were expected to leave and that management was still of the opinion that they were fat on crews.
These guys were the very best, pro-company pilots and now are entertaining other options due the current situation.
