Welcome to the GIVxt....

Seriously, based on what I have read, that EMB 500 should be a great airplane and a real differentiator from a marketing perspective. FBW, ProLine Fusion, integrated HUD, 6 ft stand-up cabin, etc.:

With the Legacies leaving eventually, I bet Embraer will want to do a deal. The CL300s will be operated by XOJet, Flexjet and soon Netjets. Not much differentiation there beyond some slight pricing differences. FLOPS can completely differentiate itself in that category with the EMB 500 and legitimately claim it operates the most advanced aircraft in that class. Just sayin'.............

I walked through the EMB 500 mock up at NBAA 18 months ago. Have to say I was pretty impressed. If they meet their performance numbers, deliver on time, and it flies decently, it should give the CL 300, G280, and even the Falcon 2000 a decent run for their money. And less money at that.

It is smaller than the CL300 and G280. Doubt the frax pax really care about the technology up front. The 7X is the "most advanced" aircraft in class and it hasn't been selling like hotcakes. There are more than a few frustrated operators with tech issues.

VERY true. 7X hasn't exactly been a game changer.

Good points. My only point was that offering the CL300 (a great airplane) will not be much of a differentiator from a marketing standpoint for the 3 competing companies offering it. Netjets can't claim the CL300 is a special offering and that will cause frax/charter customers to focus more on pricing differences among operators if the products are similar. I think FLOPS did a good job of marketing the Phenom 300 when it first came out and they could do the same with the EMB 500. It would give them a new "high tech" story line and sales messaging to use in ads, etc. Who knows if it will ever happen... That G280 would be a great addition too. Regardless, I am sure the Legacy pilots would appreciate a newer ride.

looks like friendly skies ahead for FLOPS. The bizjet industry needs more of this. Congrats (from a Netjeter)

Fractional share provider Flight Options’ business is growing at a healthy clip, the Cleveland, Ohio-based company announced yesterday. “We’re definitely seeing a significant increase in hours flown and customer utilization,” said Matt Doyle, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “We’re seeing folks are much more comfortable using their hours. On the business side, they’re using their airplanes to meet customers and clients and expand their business. On the personal side more folks are flying.”

Fractional share sales remain the company’s strongest product, although its recently launched Jet Membership program is also selling well, Doyle said, with overall sales up 30 percent year-over-year. On the fractional side, during 2012 Flight Options saw a 70-percent increase in “conquest growth”–shares sold to buyers who have left other programs.

Flight Options operates Embraer Phenom 300s and Legacy 600s; Beechjet/Hawker 400s and Hawker 800s; Nextant 400XTs; and Cessna Citation Xs. Buyers of Nextant 400XT shares are looking for value, Doyle said. “The owner coming out of a Beechjet 400 into the 400XT is not only gaining 50-percent more range, but saving about $1,000 an hour on operating costs.”

Flight Options also reported that it has been “profitable on an operating basis in each of the last four years.”

Yep. Good for Options.

Hopefully a good preview of what's coming for the entire segment.

Of course, NJ could be doing the same on the REAL books but considering the big game is afoot, they sure wouldn't let on that's the case, would they? No, no. Warren needs his 4-6% and the eeeeeeevil pilots are waaaaaaayyyyy too expensive for that to happen......

;) :D:rolleyes:

You fools are all way off on this one. Kenn Ricci has recently been overcome with a guilty conscience and is concerned for how hard his pilots have been working to make Options successful. Effective immediately the 401k contribution will be reinstated with a 14 percent company match.

Now that's a funny one.

Too bad the real situation is sad. :(

Come on, that's hardley fair. After all, almost 10% of the pilots get an all expense paid trip to beautiful Cleveland every year.
