We only have 400 pilots or so registered on our website. (by the way, the correct address is http://www.ibt1108.org)


The union organizers are doing a very good job at answering questions and concerns regarding having the IBT 1108's STRONG UNION representing our pilots. The company has put out a lousy, cookie-cutter, predictable anti-union website (for those interested, it's at http://www.yourcompanyyouroptions.com ) which is spouting the predictable retoric that comes from the union busting law firm Ford & Harrisson, LLP (their despicable website is http://www.fordharrison.com).

A funny thing happened - with the first letter announcing this anti-union propoganda web portal, instead of calling our pilots "attention flight options pilots", the letter was titled "Dear fellow team mates".

Only with a sure-win union vote on their door step did they even think to call us team mates, and that was only after signing a million-dollar contract with Ford & Harrison, LLP.


Our company's too late on this one. I just hope our pilots can see it.


If you run into a Flight Options pilot on the road, find out if they have been to the IBT1108.org web site. If they haven't, please get them there. Our future depends on it - we need all the pilots to go there and hear the truth, not just the company's propoganda and empty promises that will be sputting out of our blackberries every few days.

Yes, it is all so predictable and typical, is it not? Too little, too late! The NJ pilots and their families "have been there, done that". You are responding the right way, though. Accurate information goes a long way toward winning the battle. You first have to win minds to win votes. By laying out the facts you will garner the support of those who object to being handed the half-truths and obscure messages that management so frequently addresses the pilots with---typically.

SC, was I not clear? I was discussing typical behavior and attitudes commonly seen by workers who have problems with management. However, If the "shoe" fits over there at Options....

Late word is that over 75% of the signatures were forgeries, or resembled those of a kindergartener or first grader. I guess hawkered and guitar guy's pens have been busy.

We shall see.

Actually it was hung out there as an intentional misspelling of Iraqi. I thought the guy was too wasted to see it!

Maybe his clarity in drinking had arrived at the same time.

we won't succumb to baiting in our efforts to join 1108. We know the signatures weren't forgeries...hell, everyone I know sent in their card...and most everyone I asked said they did too. That adds up to 75% in my mind. We happily march on....FUD away...we will have our contract.

I for one am ready to see the unions bag of tricks. God knows Ive seen enough of FLOP's management saying over and over they are gonna pull a rabbit out of a hat and listening to their gas the last few years. :angryfire
 
Oh please--get real!

75% were forgeries? What a ridiculous claim! There is no way that a group who has to establish themselves by word of mouth and hard work would do something as stupid as forge signatures, ruining not only their reputation, but also their chances, before they even get off the ground. They'd come this far to risk it all when they had enough signatures already?! Hardly! Your stupid suggestion, SC, fits the FUD profile to a "T"...or a "D"..rather. And the election will be "rigged", right? All those pilots were just a handful of malcontents good at forging signatures? I think you need a reality check instead of a safety check!

You misjudge the intelligence of ALL pilots with that statement!

Please remind your union busting friends that we are not stupid. You and your friends at Ford and Harrison are up against a coalition of pilots unlike any group they have tried to intimidate before.
