ut you might want to keep your options open and look at other schools in the area.
. . . such as that new outfit down the road to which your predecessor jumped. Why don't you check it out? You might find a better environment in a Part 141 situation.

GOT A JOB!

Well, I found another place in West Michigan, and they hired me. Part 61 school. Great atmosphere. I will get paid 20/hr, and be able to use me AGI for ground schools. The chief told me he has a hard time with one of his instructors now just "being at the airport" all the time. i told him I would have no problem being out there, getting business of the streets/ be a pilot.com/calls.

Very excited, and they cover me insurance wise. Nice way to start off the weekend!
Thanks all to those who have provided assistance, it has meant a lot and has been taken in =)

Congratulations, my friend. Aren't you glad you held off on taking the other "job"? This gig sounds many times better than your other offer, especially how you will have health insurance.

I found in my experience over many years looking for jobs that you can beat your head against the wall for months looking for work. Then you get one offer. After that, it seems like everyone wants you. It must be kharma or something.

What a way to start Labor Day Weekend. :) Best of luck with your new job. Keep us updated on how it's going.

I start Sept 15th. This Thurs & Fri I am going out to observe, backseat on some flights with the other CFI's so I can get a better understanding of what's going on =)
Hopefully that helps

I have a job offer from an FBO. The gentleman and his partner run it, and his partner is leaving, and wants to hire me. He said the other guy made about $27,000 in a year time. He has 150 students, and Averages 12 hrs a day (flight hours).

What kind of questions should I ask / inquire on with the company? I would need health insurance.

Is this the average pay that a CFI makes?
How is the new job going?

Okay, I'm confused. This Bodean guy shows up as the original poster - not gizbug. Some kind of glitch I assume. Otherwise, I think Bodean is riding out the "turbulence" at AE.
