At FedEx, turbo-prop PIC is just as good as turbine PIC. The extra 10K to give up a 4 yr degree doesn't even seem comparable IMHO. You have the flight time, get the degree.

You're right, though - - IF he can't do both, the degree is by far the most important goal.
I'd start getting concerned about time, too. The difference in retirement from a 20-yr career with the major and a 25-yr career with the major is HUGE. Witness the LARGE number of over-60 guys we have here that hang around on the panel of the slave-ship or the TEN to achieve the magic 25. I wish I had known how important THAT little piece of the puzzle was before I lingered with Uncle Sam as long as I did.
