By the way, Spirit can charge less than other airlines due to our concessionary contract. Apparently ALPA and our MEC decided that "pay parity" was not necessary for us little Spirit pilots, then hoodwinked 74% into voting yes. We deserve what we get.

$9?!?!?! Wow! With $4/gal gas it would probably cost $100 to drive that round trip.

Right now it would cost you $100 bucks in something like a Civic or Accord. All the folks I see on I-15 in Hummers and Escalades and Tiger tanks must be spending a lot more.

When you say "ALPA" you mean the Spirit pilots you elected to serve as your MEC and negotiating committee, right. And you also refer to the 74% of Spirit pilots who voted yes, not much of a slim margin.

I don't recall the pilots of DAL, UAL, CAL or FEDEX agreeing to Spirits contract, so ALPA is loosely applied to mean Spirit pilots.
