Yeah, at a loss. Obviously, this guy is way upside down.

Actually, every dollar spent in food stamps creates $1.80 in economic activity so more people benefit from food stamps than his family.

Just because the hole is on his side of the boat doesn't mean you're not going to get wet.

First priority: fix the integrity of the boat. And before you respond
with - "WWII is what got us out of the Great Depression," be prepared to explain to me why a world war is not a huge government spending program.

If govt. spending is so great, how come only 32 cents of each Social Security dollar actually finds its way to a recipient?

His inability to prepare for a downturn on 750K a year, does not constitute an emergency on my part...

To be sure, this guy has problems.

But over 60% of the troubled mortgages in this mess qualified for a standard 30 year fixed loan. There's a lot of good reasons for keeping those people in their homes.

And throw a bunch of food stamps at whoever qualifies, ferchristsake. They probably have kids and it creates a lot of economic activity.

This isn't going to be like a normal recession. If the government is not allowed to stimulate the economy, people who should know are saying the metaphor of "the great depression" will be inadequate to describe the breath and depth of the carnage.

Me? I'm looking to woo an Amish woman in the hopes that her family will take me in.

In WWII people actually went and worked to earn their money. These days people just want the handout from the gub'ment for doing nothing. The can-do attitude in WWII is what got our country moving, and is what many are sorely lacking today.

Is this some kind of sick joke? How dare they accept food stamps while ensconced with such material wealth. AND 100K in CC debt? - Haven't paid their mortgage in 2 yrs? This sure doesn't mimic the average Americans financial tribulations.

While Dad delivers the pizzas, maybe Mom could sell her (his really) silicone on eBay.

I don't agree with your assertion that people don't want to work. We manufacture very little in this country now and that is, at least, part of this problem. Democracy suffers if you don't have a middle class.

Still, WWII was a massive government spending program.

Mike Davis was on Moyers last week - a very interesting juxtaposition of socialism and the labor movement. This takes about 32 minutes:

That is the main problem if you ask me, we (Big biz) would rather make other countrie's workers (slaves) build stuff for dirt cheap mainly so they don't have to deal with frivolous lawsuits, workers comp., OSHA, etc. just so they can gorge themselves in profits. People have been WalMartized into believing cheaper is better. I have been in several unions before the airline gig, and I was once told that we (Americans) should buy union/American when ever posssible, I still do. I would rather buy something made here in the states knowing that it is putting food on the plates and a roof over the heads of many American families. We have sold out our country to the lowest bidder and our economy will never be restored until we put God (of the Bible) first in our Gov., schools, work place.

This guy never really did anything that merited a $750,000 salary. Every time I fly a flight, my captain and I are responsible for more than 150 people. If we make a mistake that's a lot of people who lose their lives. This guy manipulated money of hard-working people and virtually was paid for doing nothing. He was fortunate to be overpaid as long as we was.

Of course not. Guys like him area dime a dozen. If he showed up at my door with a fkn pizza pie, I'd leave him no tip. He's got way too much material crap surrounding him to be truly broke. Perhaps on paper he's a deadbeat, but I can assure you that the money is coming from somehere and it ain't the minimum wage and tips keeping those 36D's happy.
