With inflation at 1% and unlikely to exceed 2% in the foreseeable future, I'd take that deal and run with it.

I guess you don't get involved much with food, medical and energy prices. Food and medical costs have been rising MUCH more than the so called CPI, while energy prices have hardly folloowed the recent fall all in oil prices.

These drivers are not part of the CPI "market basket".
 
You guys need to lay off the Alex Jones. The CPI is quite accurate.
