Let's say someone gets a class date and is assinged 727 panel. How long is the seat lock? How long before someone could bid off the panel? What are the "typical" junior seats that a junior 727 FE could bid and likely get as a next seat? What's the likelihood of getting US domestic flying like A300/310 FO, 757 FO, 727 FO or domestic MD10 FO?

Congrats to anyone hired! You guys/gals are lucky!!!!!!

No seat lock on the panel. The ability to bid off basically comes down to when the next bid will be. They have been averaging one a year so I would plan on spending the first year on the panel for now.

Bids are trained out in seniority so even if you get a bid off the panel in your first 6 months, you may not go to training for another 6 months. It just depends.

A 727 FE could really get almost any seat in the house, it just depends on what's available.

The senior F/O spot is the MD-11 in LAX followed fairly closely by the A300 in MEM and 777 in MEM.
The rest of the seats (MD-11 MEM and ANC, 757 MEM and CGN, 727 MEM and A300 HKG are so close in seniority that it's not really worth differentiating. The most junior seats are MD-11 ANC and 757 in Cologne but only by a very small margin.

Getting domestic flying should be pretty easy. International out of MEM tends to go senior. 757 MEM would probably be the best place to go for the best seniority increase over time and QOL flying domestic. It's a growing fleet which is picking up much of the 727 flying as those are phased out.
