Hope to see you tomorrow, Sunday 6 MAR at 1400 (2pm for you 24 hr clock challenged). Germantown Center.

Especially us local guys. Football season is over, what else have you got to do. I've talked to a bunch of guys, commuter types, that are flying in just for the rally. I was trying to decide whether to go or not and when I started hearing about guys commuting here just for Sunday afternoon, that was the final straw for me.

Sunday is the FedEx ALPA rally / family get together. Big chance for all pilots and families to get together and show support and, hopefully, get this contract thing moving along to it's logical conclusion.

Come on out.

Supposedly there will be fun stuff for the kids. I hope so, or my 5 and 3 y.o. will tear the place down.

Bust some scabs heads? Jeeze, you guys been ALPA for all of about one contract negotiation...shouldn't y'all be working your way up before you run amok getting all Matewan on people?

You missed your big chance, I was getting drunk off my ass with the FEDS that ride with you guys and some of the local cops on wednesday over the the East End Grill by Hacks Cross rd after passing my Level D sim ride over at PAIFA. Coulda used a good ass beating...

Yeah, that was pretty good. I think it was a good turn out. Guys said that if there were people standing in the back, which there was, then it was a good turn out.

It appears the strategery of the Other Side will be:

1. Rush into mediation;

2. Do not talk about ANY monetary issues, then:

3. drop all of it on us at once with a really short deadline for a decision, and hope to profit on the chaos..... Worked last time.

Chimenti really made it sound like we have our stuff in one sock this time around. As far as costing out what we want, etc. That's important so that when the company says that we want a gazillion dollars worth of improvements, we know that's not true. That way, when the company sponsored pity party for the public, press, and other employees starts, we, hopefully, won't succumb and will have a defensible position.


The other interesting thing was that he said HE thinks FedEx wants to be done with our contract before UPS is done with theirs. I don't know how important it is to them though. I'm sure they also want us to work for nothing. But his logic behind why they wanted that to happen made it sound like something they might strive for.

We shall see.

I hope he DID NOT say that it's alright for guys to fly around with their shirts off like a guy a flew with a couple of months ago. I'm talking uniform shirt AND t-shirt. It was awful. Hairy old man breasts jiggling in the light to moderate turbulence going to ANC. I'm getting a little queasy just thinking about it. My gawd, that was f'ed up.
