A FRIEND OF MINE just got the pool letter. He interviewed on Jan 11/12 and received notification of being in the pool on Feb 25. He has 8000+TT with 3300+ CRJ. He is a regional captain, a former line check airman, former piston freight pilot and former Navy enlisted to boot. Out of the group of six guys that were a part of his half of the interview group, five have received pool notification and one guy hasn't been heard from since the inteview. It is assumed he received the "thanks but no thanks" letter.
The OTHER FOUR GUYS in his group were all notified on the same day; exactly three weeks after the interview. The four that received notification in the third week, received phone calls. Each of these guys inquired about a class date and each was told to expect a letter in March for an April class.
I know of a few guys that interviewed on or about Jan 22. One is in the pool and one got rejected. These guys were both notified via FedEx letter within two weeks. By this, I assume they are no longer calling individuals that have made it to the pool.
If it has been more than two weeks and you haven't heard anything, odds are in your favor. Remember, no news is still good news until you hear otherwise. Additionally, don't believe anything you hear until it is painted purple and sitting on the ramp.
