I gotta disagree with you. The APA was doing their job, ie protecting their pilot group. ALPA didn't do a thing (other than hope for another 13,000 new members!).

You need to talk to someone who knows about this, ALPA screwed the TWA pilots. Take a look at their lawsuit, I think you may find it has some merit.

At the same time ALPA national was helping the 2300+ TWA in the integration process they were also courting 10,000+ AA pilots to join.
