Feb SWA Interviews

Does anybody know if the February interview schedule has been filled? Anybody been scheduled this month for an interview in February?

For those what waiting for a second, make sure something has changed since the last interview ... not just flight hours. Instructor, Checkairman, differnt aircraft ... something that would get you noticed. Put you in line for the second.

I recently went to Higher Power Aviation to get my type. Very professional, great place, great experience, I highly recommend them!

what kind of times are pilots getting called at swa.
will 1300 pic turbine, 737 type, and 6000 sic jet work?

are pilots getting called with only 1300 pic and a type?

also, any word on swa dropping the pic to 1000. earlier post hinted towards it.

I know people who were called for an interview that just met the requirements. If you have 1300 PIC, then you have a chance.

I doubt they will lower the PIC back to 1000.....it was changed to 1300 last year....I'd be surprised if they bring it back down again...just my guess.

For those getting interviews for Feb - how long was your online app in the system ? - any internal letters of recommend ? I just put in last week - I have 9100 total time - 3000 jet pic - about 6000 total turbine - 3 year CRJ checkairman. Any ideas on how long I will wait ? Thx

Hi,

I got the call on the 23rd of Jan for a mid-Feb interview. I still can't believe that I am going to interview at Southwest. Good luck to all with upcoming interviews and congrats to those with class dates. Hopefully in a month and a half or so I will have some good news. For those that have interviewed already, did your letters of recommendations address a specific person and/or department?

Got the call to interview last week for mid February interview. Did type at HPA in October. Have 5800 total, 1500 Turbine PIC. Good luck to everyone waiting for the call.

I was called 23 Jan for an interview. On that message there were still 8 dates left (6th, 7th, 8th, 12th ,13th, 19th, 20th, 21st). By the time I got into direct contact with the HR dept the 12th had been filled and I got the last 13th slot. This was on the early evening of 24 Jan. That is the latest info that I have.

For the other questions, I have had the type (from HPA, and I second everything everyone else has said) since July 1, online app in September 2nd (1 yr out for me, I am military), updated once per month and was called third week of January. My hrs are:

1750 PIC Turbine (250 multi-engine)

~3100 TT (all this with .3 per sortie conversion)

Got the phone call last week, my choice of Feb or March. I took the first Feb one I could make work. 6500 ttl, 3500 jet pic, check airman, no type. Best of luck to all of you guys. :beer:
