I had a lot of good experiences with NY Tracon, and a few really bad ones. They have a VERY low tolerance for stupid and/or annoying.

Most talented: ORD ground
Least favorite: MCO approach. They have yet to vector me in under the GS.
Least talented: LGA when Ms. Cleo is working ground (Honorable mention: CLE approach)
Most easygoing big airport: ATL
Most hostile big airport: DFW
Best overall airport: JFK

I'll miss the LGA, I took Horace Greeley's advice and switched coasts.
(I won't miss AVP overnights, BWI FSDO, watching the M60 bus leave me behind after waiting 20 minutes in the rain, or anything about PHL)

IAH Ground Controllers suck donkey balls. unless it's the dude who is always happy.

DCA tower for being able to land 22, 19, and 13 within seconds of each aircraft going through another's intersection. All with helicopters and restricted areas everywhere.

Their secret to making that separation work? They don't say a word about the intersecting arrivals. We look out the window, say to ourselves, "that ain't gonna work!" and adjust our speed. It's a thing of beauty.
