Faro, Portugal (LPFR)

Has anyone been to Faro, Portugal? The more recent experience the better, but any info would be very welcomed. Thanks in advance!

Yea what do you want to know. The flying is easy. No problem parking. Make sure you have a landing slot. I went there last summer.

I recommend you stay in the Vilamoura area. Very nice area. Tourist area with night life and gulfcourses everywhere. We stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Vilamoura. Very nice area, and very nice hotel. Free shuttle down to the docks for dinner and drinks with plenty to do. Rented a car the next day and checked out the local town and beaches. 3 very nice beaches to see. For the weekend nightlife we went down to Albuferia which is a younger nightlife during the summer with streets of partying drunk people till early morning.

Nothing to worry about so have fun and enjoy.

Thanks for the info...we are booked at the same hotel. The handler had a pretty good rate. Did you get your out bound oceanic from the controllers in Faro or approaching your coast out point?
