See? There we go. That's the whole point of why I am tired of this place. Rice and Quimby's jabs are a perfect example. Nobody here can disagree like adults. No. Instead we have to question someone's professional competency, mental stability, sexuality, religious belief, or whatever floats our boat that week. And not just me. Others are bashed constantly here and it is stale, unproductive, immature, and entirely unprofessional. Meltdown? That is a stupid word. When I call out the "culture" on this board for acting like jackarses it is a "meltdown"? Or when I restate the argument for the thousandth time because people still can't grasp it...? Grow up. (We don't have to agree on anything but we can do it without attacking one another. Well at least in theory--this board has never even tried to play nice and always descends to personal attacks.)
My career is doing fine--as well as can be hoped for in an economy like this, any way. It will do better the sooner I leave this mob of character assassins. Being on here has done nothing but harm and I think now I've finally learned my lesson. (I will never understand why people always revert to highschool behavior on message boards.) Good luck.

LD,

You might refer back to post #53 in this thread where you started hijacking the thread with Legacy advertisements (again)...continued in #54 & #56. In post #57 I refuted your claim from #53 that a Legacy costs less to operate than a Falcon with independently-gathered figures, which you completely denied in #59.

You spewed so much nonsense about both the Falcon and the Embraer in this thread that people started laying into you because of it, then you completely lost your mind (again) in post #90, well after the last post mentioning anything to do with you.

There, you reverted to "highschool behavior" with your nonsensical rant, actually elevating the bar of insults from anything previously posted in the thread.

You ever stop to think you bring a lot of this shiat on yourself with your childish emotional responses to critiques of an airplane?

I don't know you from Adam other than your internet reputation (which historically ain't that great) but your recent postings *scream* the entering of a deep manic phase. For your own sake, PLEASE chill the eff out and step away from the keyboard.

You can always ask an admin to "ban" you for some period of time so you don't have to worry about being "tempted" to come back for a while...

And yes I apologize for the thread hijack, Boiler. My point wasn't about the EMB. It was about the Falcon with its single useless T/R vs a jet like a G-Whiz with two huge buckets that can hang out there like a drag chute. Not having flown the G I can only say that the EMB, a similarly configured airplane, slowed rapidly with buckets deployed even if only at idle thrust. Since the G has bigger buckets I would assume the effect could be greater (if not equal) to that of the EMB. Either way, by deduction I am sure a the G will do a better on than the Falcon from a standpoint of pure physics (more tire foot print, bigger and better T/Rs, more advanced ABS system, etc.).
Your point is taken and I apologize again for the thread hijack. That was not my intent.

No need to apologize, man....its the internet we're talking about here.

Just do yourself a big favor and ask yourself "Is posting this a good idea?" a time or ten before pressing the "submit" button on any aviation webboard - it'll probably save you some unnecessary drama, if not some outright problems.

Thanks. It has already hurt me professionally. It is better to walk away. But I always get drawn back by those here I actually like. If only more posts were as thoughtful, polite, and substantive as yours here is then this board would be a great resource.
I'm just an LD in the box. Poke him and watch him type a thousand pages.

LD;
In all seriousness, maybe the question you should be asking is: Why does it keep happening to you, when everyone else seems unbothered by it?

Not piling on. Just offering an insight.
