So your friend hired you to post on this board? He can't speak for himself? Gee, I wonder how quickly I'd surpass you in total posts if I post stories about pilots who coulda shoulda woulda...

How exactly has the East affected you at DL? By repetitively posting the same pet argument? Taking away your life by gluing you to the screen displaying this bulletin board?

You got my sympathy. Look up, a heart! Just for you. ;)

Of course you never answered my question to you about who actually got "screwed" after everyone signed up and agreed to Nicolau and the arbitration. Were they really screwed, or did they just not understand the idea of what binding arbitration could produce? Give an answer please. And my friend doesn't frequent these forums, thanks to the Easties, he has to work more to get ready to pay for his son's upcoming college tuition. Had the award stood, he'd rightfully be a Captain according to the binding award, and his stress level would be half what it is now. Makes sense.

Great GL-
None of which has anything to do with the article

Hey, you also lead bird and me into this discussion with your reply. Don't tell someone to "get a grip" when it affects them everyday. It might not for me, but I think the topic is very important, for all of us. This article is important too, but it looks like those pilots handled it correctly. Now if they could just see their wrongs towards the Westies as a group and then accept the award, I'd be done on this subject.

So when east pilot shoot holes in airplanes, throw tantrums because they couldn't start an APU, go off-roading at BDL, and now blow off j/s protocols, you think that's just being biased, eh? The east needs a wholesale overhaul of their attitudes and compliance with SOP based on their history.

Can any of them ever be held accountable for anything????

You're taking a couple isolated incidents and generalizing about the whole group. A sure sign of ignorance and in fact, much of what the east did to the west folks. It makes you just as ignorant as what was thrown at you. I have not been a fan of USAPA at all on here and think it is a blight on our profession, but if you really think the east pilots are somehow "inferior" to the west pilots you are dilusional and making a fool of yourself. Hard to say from a web board, but it appears you have let anger issues effect you more than you should.

Which has nothing to do with the article you posted.

Absolutely nothing. Get a grip man-

Start here:
Problem 1: judging based on a media article.
Problem 2: judging an entire group based on one crew's actions.
Problem 3: pretending to judge the whole group based on this article when you ACTUALLY judge them for delaying Nic and forming USAPA -

Most of us agree with the actual judgment you make, so please don't undermine by playing games with it- the industry has suffered a lesser bargaining position for years based on what the east has done and holding onto their bk wages- we all know it- so relax and don't give yourself a heart attack over it
I think the problem is that we see this lax jumpseat attitude too often. I don't offline jumpseat very often, but when I do, I am ready with my ID, license, and medical ready to show to the captain. I'd say 90% of the time, the captain takes a cursory glance at my ID and tells me "I don't need to see the rest of that..." I was always puzzed, but, whatever. I just think if you do any commuting, you've seen this act before, and you can invision a scenario where this imposter flashes a fake ID, looks ok, captain doesn't ask to see any other supporting documentation, and away we go...

Not assuming that's what happened here, but I can see it as a definite possibility.

After being shown this FI thread, the impostor exclaimed: "Zeese are pilots? Sacre Bleu! I weesh I had faked being sometheeng else!"

Sorry Dan, but maybe you don't run into many Easties out there in HNL. Almost everyone of them to a tee thinks they are way inferior to the Westies. It is almost comical. Bird has every right to feel the way he does, he and the others are being raped. They were legally awarded an SLI, and for years they haven't moved up, haven't gotten a pay raise, nothing, all thanks to a group of crybabies . I think your own opinion Dan would change if you actually met one of them and asked them their opinion about their own merger.
