FYI...According to the FAA the MEM base for Mesaba will be the initial focus for increased line checks and ramp checks starting Monday July 27, 2009 @ XJ. This is due to the recent focus placed on regional airlines. Make sure you have all you manuals up to date and certificates on hand. Be careful.

Shouldn't your manuals, plates and certificates always be up to date and current?

Sounds like a waste of resources to me!

This is already going on at most regionals in response to the Colgan accident. And if it ain't yet, it will very soon. This also includes observing PCs and all training events. To make sure it's getting done Washington has given quotas that the respective FSDOs on a particuliar regional airline must complete by a certain date.

The Feds are crawling all over the St. Louis FSDO.

Welcome on the Saab in summer without an apu and a POS air cart. Something tells me they won't be hanging around the A side for long.

Already had 3 Feds in 2 days on DTW-TOL turns, they like to keep the flights short .

They need to start with Mesaba in MSP. Especially the MCW-FOD routes. These guys piss around at MCW shooting approaches and going missed with 1000/3 wx all the time. Must be a training route. No concern for normal operations in the area. Pile on.....
