Its not that, your gross weight is in kg, fuel is in kg, payload in is kg. So many kg's of fuel do you have, how many kg's do all your passengers weigh, how many kg's of baggage do you have? Once its in metric I dont care if they figure it in slugs, its just converting all the weights that is a pain, Its not like I think its impossible, its not even hard, its just a pain to do.

Ahh, ok, it's converting the weights that's a nuisance. OK, try this, don't convert the weights, just calculate all the moments in pounds, sum them up, then divide the result by 2.2, you'll get the exact same number that you would if you converted each weight to kilos, and it will save some keystrokes.

just have the FO do it...CRM at its finest :D

Don't have an FO? Get the CFI ticket so you can make your student do it :D.
Thanks folks I'll be here all week

How about those fancy flight "computers" out there...do they automatically do the conversion for you?

My method to saving keystrokes was to not figure W & B unless I thought it was close. Buy thats a good idea.

Lol, ok that's another approach, saves even *more* keystrokes
