HAHA,

Welcome to air wis ground operations at dulles. It is a blast.
In particular they are doing citys that were taken from transstates. The circle continues. Welcome to air wis ground operations at dulles. It is a blast.
Doesn't Trans have pilots on furlough? Replaced by another ALPA carrier?

How do you know it's tsa flights? TSA isn't the only 50 seat operation for UA.

It's just the usual Rescue jet stuff we do, we'll be outta there by Sept. in fact I think we're changing our name to RescueRooter.
And there are many at XJT who are more than a little hopeful that this will evolve into a long-term contract with UAL.
We are not operating them at a loss. CAL CPA is currently break even at best with the low utilization of the aircraft (only about 8-9 hrs a day vs 11-12 hrs a day with UAL). If CAL had all 214 planes flying at a higher utilization then it would be profitable. UAL is making us money and hopefully it will morph into a long term deal
I do not know how our rates compare to the other 50 seat UAX feed, that is kept secret at the highest levels. I would like to see other regionals with higher pilot pay (Comair, ASA, Eagle, Horizon, Air Whisky) get more flying instead of the regionals that are at the lower end of pilot pay continuing to expand......
