Sleeve had it right a few posts up; with that low time it's barely enough to work as a CFI or banner/glider tow pilot...Vik said:they'd still give me the boot at 600/350/ over 20 actual.
It was a difficult decision to leave C8 but I thought it was a good one. I do miss my last job sometimes, but I am really having the time of my life here at XJT. I'm CLE based now (entire class was sent here), but am heading to EWR next month. Had great crews so far, having a great time on days off, and even having fun sitting reserve in the crashpad most days when everyone is around.ATRCA said:Flychicaga,

I've said it before and I'll say it again, it amazes me that some of you guys whine about not getting a commuter job with such low time... I hate to sound like a crusty old fart, but back in the early 90's the job market was worse, much worse. I had around 1200 hrs CFI time plus over 2400 hauling cancelled checks in C-310s; the commuters wouldn't even respond to my resumes. I had close to 5,000 TT when I finally got the nod to grace the right seat of the mighty Beech 1900. And you're complaining at 600 hrs TT???
Quit yer bitchin', it could be a lot worse...

most guys furloughed or looking for a job have spent more time on a final approach than you have in the air...look at the big picture
