I have my interview on Feb. 9th. Does anyone have any idea about this interview process? What to expect, is there a sim? Please, I need any information that you might have. Thanks!

First airline interview

Early Feb for me too. Excited!:D

When did you guys do your phone interview?

Did you ask the senior recruiter about the interview process?

No sim. You're guinea pigs, but that's not necessarily bad. Just be yourselves. If you're being interviewed, you're qualified. Would I want to spend every waking hour for four days with you? That is the question they're looking for an answer to. Good luck!

I have a interview with them as well on the 9th. Anyone have any info regarding what the junior base is, if there is pay during training, and how are their benefits. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks FL240:eek:

I heard they might use the FTD's to check for instrument skills. At least they are thinking about it.

You'll probably get EWR since that appears to be the junior b!tch base. Most future growth going to IAH, but I don't think you'll get it right out of training. CLE is supposed to be flat in the future, so you will probably wait a while to get there.

Pay during training might have changed since our last new hire class, but you can at expect at least per diem. Back in the day they gave everyone a check after a few days for the same amount which was supposed to cover expenses. Read into that what you want, but things might change since the airline has changed alot since 2001.

As for benefits, I think it's a six month wait after class date until you are allowed to access health/401K etc... It's been a while since we had new hires, so it's hard to remember anymore. Many benefit issues are up in the air due to contract talks. Good luck and remember John Dresser doesn't work interviews here anymore.

I got a call this morning from Dawn Daniel (at least that is what it sounded like) and she left a message for me to call back. I guess working nights and sleeping days makes it hard to answer the phone during the day, oh well. Did they offer you different dates for the interview or did they just say you can come on a specific day or nothing?

Express jet

Also have an interview with Express on the 10th of Feb. Haven't heard or seen anything about the interview process. Will be flying out of LAS the morning of the interview and coming home that night. No over nights.

Wednesday for me...

Got the call yesterday afternoon for a Wednesday the 11th interview. I take it, it would be a good thing to get one with them at the BEGINNING of the hiring boom? Can you commute your first year? I just signed a lease and could get out of it, but it would suck, besides, I'm a midwest country boy, living in Newark scares me!

the email

th email came to me yesterday(same day they called). No overnight for me either. when is the first interview? the 9th? anyone have an interview before the 9th?

guys on the 9th, it would be nice to hustle and get a posting on aviationinterviews for us behind ya.

Sameday flights for me too on the 11th, Although i dont think im gonna go. I was offered a job flying the emb-110 for airnow. I have 3500tt and 1500multi so i think it would be a step back if i went and got stuck in the right seat for the 4+ yrs for upgrade. atleast now i can start looking for a good paying corporate gig once i get the 500pic turbine.

Got the call!
Interview on the 10th
I was just looking over the email

Dose anyone else think its weird that they did not list flight logs OR college transcripts in the “bring to interview” section?

Especially since the last interviews "weeded" out alot of candidates with the flight time section of the application. There was a break down of flight time per aircraft type into PIC, Dual given, Dual Recv'd, etc. I understand that the people who didnt finish it - didnt get hired....

Does anyone know if they are doing this again? or was this a "dresser-deal"?

Is there any info in the email about interview content? i.e. what to study?
