Getting Cleveland will be no problem. My entire class got sent there. I've heard about 2 months reserve in Cleveland or Newark, and about 7-9 in Houston.

that was an extremely smart decision....i turned down express jet for Trans States...NOT GO JETS....but i wouldve gone to a Colgan or Commutair before them as well....stability is important..but not everything...xjt is going to go into a period of horrific stagnation in a year or so and the people who are on the bottom of the list are going to have to wait a century for an upgrade.

ha...im not slammin ya man...thats as stable as it gets...and god only knows what will happen in the next few years....u guys know more about it than i do...just seems to me with the massive hiring boom down there, upgrade time is gonna take awhile...not AE awhile but not a year either....which isnt nessecarily a horrible thing...least youll still have a job...what r they tellin you guys in training now as far as upgrade time?

Around 3 years maybe 4 but i am not worried about a quick upgrade as i am a good QOL and working at a good company. There are going to be about 20 or so guys leaving a month probably more than that but i am using low numbers. That is constant movement. Reserve right now is 3-7 months. I got base advanced back home to houston after only 2 months in EWR. Life is good. Yeah it isnt the quickest upgrade but it is a great company i think.

In today's industry, I would take a four year upgrade at a good airline over a two year upgrade at a crappy one. The movement here is not going to stop completely, although it will slow down significantly. What makes you think the upgrade at TSA is going to be so fast? I had a friend there for more than two years and still hadn't upgraded on the Jball. He is now flying corporate and couldn't be happier. Does TSA have more deliveries coming? You're about to be in for a nasty fight with that ho-jets crap. I'll take our work rules and relationship with management and sit in the right seat as long as it takes, which is hopefully about two years.

TSA, will probably be furloughing when AWAC takes all their flying out of RIC.

Upgrade is 3 to 4 years, show me somewhere that it's not, besides Mesa and Chautauqua, which are both self-explanatory. I can make nearly as much as an FO at Express as a Dash captain at Mesa. What happens to that upgrade time at Chautauqua if they end up taking more USAir pilots than anticipated? I'll take my min 12 days off, good REGIONAL pay, leg-by-leg pay, profit sharing, excellent retirement match, and a management that isn't trying to screw me at every turn over the POSSIBILITY of a two year upgrade. Just my opinion, and nothing more.

yeah...they say 18 to 24 months to upgrade at TSA but who the hell knows with all this gojets crap...and the atempted takeover at RIC....were supposed to start phasing out the junkstream at the end of this year...but i have no idea what theyre plans are as far as more EMB's...oh wait...we spent millions of dollars on the CRJ's for go jets.....when is AirWis supposed to invade RIC....and is Airways gonna pretty much give us the boot out of there or what......i doubt well lose the code share but as of right now that is the junior fo base

upgrade 3 to 4 years, reserve 7 months, low pay, great company?

Since when is someone entitled to upgrade on a 50 passenger jet in 1.5 years? We had that once at XJT...and frankly, it was scary and we were asking for an accident. Quick upgrades and low time new hires certainly boost the chances of an accident/incident (definitely don't remove the possibility of course).

At the present time, reserve isn't 7 months at XJT.

What is your pay on that 402/C90?

There's a good chance we could have 1.5 year upgrades again by the end of this year depending on how many of our CAL PIGs go over and how the rest of us bid. It'll be interesting to say the least.

Thats a tough spot, I really feel for you all. I have got a lot of friends there. I was incorrect on my previous statment. The initial word to me was that AWAC was opening up pilot bases in RIC, and ORF, but now it looks like RIC is out. Im not a 100% though, maybe someone else has more knowledge.

thanks man..to be completley honest...im new at this and id be the first to admit that i cant even begin to understand in depth what type of ramifications this go jets thing is gonna have on our pilot group at TSA,,,any words from the wise would be greatly appreciated
