It will not happen. All the Middle Eastern carriers require you to live in domicile. There is no way to back all your trips up and then go home for 12-15 days.
Any chance one of them will start doing "extended layovers"? Something like this would make these ME airlines far more attractive, but still allow them to officially base everyone in country.
I don't really think so, since they open the window for DEC's, they have been getting plenty of resumes from qualified pilots. It is very unlikely they will open bases abroadEK is short of pilots, and it will be getting a lot worse, as the pilot shortage progresses. I think they will have to have pilot bases outside of DXB to keep all their future planes flying.
