The embraer 135/40/45 packs will do that when you have them selected to warm in the AUTO mode, if you change them to manual temp control then the cycling sound gets a lot better. Manual pack mode is horrible in the EMBs.

Brings back memories of being underpaid, overworked and fat.

But normally with both packs running and you start a engine, the #1 pack kicks off.

I hope you dont actually fly the EMB. Both pack's kick off during engine start.
