Sounds like DL tried a fast and loose bait an switch with AWAC, I guess their gig is up and it's time to pay if they want the aircraft to move.
Good on AWAC for seeing it for what it was.
I believe Delta paid over 2 BILLION dollars for Comair and then later liquidated them for nothing....as in zero.
What a great way to run your business.
And you bought AT and gave away 717s to your competitor, and paid them for it. Hilarious. I heard someone over there got fired due to the great terms for DL. Great Job Cornies! Giving planes away and allowing your competitor to use them against you. An AT jumpseater said "that's like giving F-16s to the Taliban..." Funny stuff.
Bye Bye---General Lee
And that has what to do with the Delta/Comair transaction?
You'd be thrown out of a serious debate for being a Village Idiot.
TC understands. What's the cost savings of one set of parts? One sim type? One operating manual? Around 300 million a year......every year going forward.
I find it absolutely hilarious that Genny tries to spin the 717 when Delta was the one that STARTED AirTran by selling them DC-9's. Ahhh, the hypocrisy runs deep with the Double Breasted Riverboat Captains.
The 717's "from management stand point" we're purchased for one reason, to get a in house "B" class pay scale during pay scale negotiations. That's the only reason. It's a ********************ty plane for a company to use for commercial use. Let's see, who else uses them..... That's right those are the only ones. Either the rest of the industry is blind to the most versital a/c ever built, or Delta bought a turd and never got its "B" class pay scale.
