I believe Delta paid over 2 BILLION dollars for Comair and then later liquidated them for nothing....as in zero.

What a great way to run your business.

And you bought AT and gave away 717s to your competitor, and paid them for it. Hilarious. I heard someone over there got fired due to the great terms for DL. Great Job Cornies! Giving planes away and allowing your competitor to use them against you. An AT jumpseater said "that's like giving F-16s to the Taliban..." Funny stuff.

And that has what to do with the Delta/Comair transaction?

You'd be thrown out of a serious debate for being a Village Idiot.

You stated a bad business decision like the Comair buy, just like your 717 fire sale. Both, in hindsight, were bad moves. Got it yet Red? No, no you don't....

717's are not competing against sw 737s nor jb 190 in NY..... fuel burn, and not enough seats, not to mention you guys are highly over paid. lol

TC understands. What's the cost savings of one set of parts? One sim type? One operating manual? Around 300 million a year......every year going forward.

I find it absolutely hilarious that Genny tries to spin the 717 when Delta was the one that STARTED AirTran by selling them DC-9's. Ahhh, the hypocrisy runs deep with the Double Breasted Riverboat Captains.

That's right Red, and Ron Allen, a previous DL CEO who gave the DC9s back to McDonald Douglas who refurbished them and sold them to AT, later said "I will never again give away airplanes to a competitor." Looks like you guys just did that. And, they do compete with your planes, by taking pax through ATL to destinations via a connection instead of your 3 stops on your Corndog. Those 717s replacing RJs makes your potential pax think twice about riding your planes. Thanks TC and Red! Great job, and such a good deal.

The 717's "from management stand point" we're purchased for one reason, to get a in house "B" class pay scale during pay scale negotiations. That's the only reason. It's a ********************ty plane for a company to use for commercial use. Let's see, who else uses them..... That's right those are the only ones. Either the rest of the industry is blind to the most versital a/c ever built, or Delta bought a turd and never got its "B" class pay scale.

Are you that clueless Genny? Really?

I'll try to speak real slow so you can follow along.

Delta got a new competitor in their backyard for selling those to AirTran.

Southwest gets 300 Million a year in savings every year for the deal.

A slight difference you don't seem to understand. Idiot.

Hey, it fits the mythical "100 seater" profile, and the price was right thanks to you guys. It's perfect to upgrade from an RJ, and so far they are impressed. Sounds like you REALLY HATED IT. Wow, you sound like a spaz. You and Red can enjoy your junky 733s to Midland. Btw, 12th year Capt rates at DL on the 717 will be $195 per hour starting Jan 1st, and that's the smallest mainline plane at DL. Hardly a B Scale...

Not to take sides in this latest silly diaper delight but, actually Hawaiian does also fly them.
