i'm heading to the atl road show. should i apply online before going? i'm asking because i don't want to get some automated response saying "thanks, but no thanks", then talk to the recruiter and have them ask me why i bothered with the road show if i'd already been told "no". on the other hand, i don't want to look like a jerk if they expect that you've already applied online before you go to the roadshow. clear as mud?

If you exceed their posted minimums I would fill out the application and print it out and bring it to the roadshow. I did that and received an invitation to the interview on the spot.

Good luck!

B-J-J, why dont you give us your name and when your interview is taking place and we will make sure you dont have to wear the turban, we will also take care of that camel for you. After reading your posts, I can now see why their is such a bad perspective on what Americans are really like over here. uba757

Do you get preferential treatment if you wear a turban to one of the road shows???

Depends on the airline you are interviewing for. Turbans are worn in India which lies at the other side of the Indian ocean from the UAE. Also, well bread and thoroughbread camels go for up to $2m, so nobody leaves an asset like that tied to the post.

Can we clarify anything else for you?

To get back on topic......

Would anyone who went to the road show mind giving the cliff notes version......I really wanted to go, but didn't have a day off that fit any where. Just looking for basics: housing, expansion, hiring, routes, QOL......... thanks for any info...

Just like FI, you have to sift through the Barbara Streisand to get to the real stuff. Do your homework, that is the best advice you can get.
