I go to one of the residential campuses...if you don't learn this quick you will have trouble at Riddle, and most colleges. Do not let them push you around! You want something, make them understand that. Don't just stand there and nod as they talk you into or out of something. My friend was like this and it took him months to get out of the flight program and to change his major, cuz he was being a huge wimp.

(I've never once flown at Riddle..too structured for me, but some like it, and its just regular flight training, no promises, private through CFI and a good chance of being hired as a CFI, like any other flight school. So while I don't personally like the program, I can't really bash it that much either.)

If you didn't feel like you were getting what you wanted, you shoulda complained 7 months ago when you were still in the program! Not now!

You need to have some personal responsbility for something so serious as this...

AND, if this totally turned you off from aviation, thats a good thing! Means you aren't really cut out for it and woulda ******************** a brick after your first furlough or bankruptcy anyway!

Hehehe...if all this translates to avoiding a first bankruptcy, then I made the right choice by ditching aviation. I'll leave it for the rich boys (and girls) who can afford to do it for peanuts. I don't have the bank roll to play with you high rollers.

P.S. CAPT does not graduate you with a CFI. Just 225 hours and a kick in the a$$.

And a job..which you apparently declined. Stop crying, realize your mistakes, and get on with your life and build a better future for yourself.

One less malcontent I'll have to deal with later on.

CAPT worked for me. Maybe you're just not good.

Also, I just saw that on 6/10/2004 you posted:

"I believe Western Michigan University is offering flight training separate from the university now, Part 141. They offer training through MEI."

If CAPT worked for you, why did you suggest a school OTHER than CAPT? Hrm...

You can't decline a job you were never offered. And I do realize my mistakes (by going to CAPT). That's why I'm sharing my story so that others who think CAPT is all that can get another side of the story. I think you guys call it not drinking the kool-aid. And I am getting on with my life. Just a life that includes making sure prospective students looking for information on flight schools don't go to CAPT.

ASA was the creme de la creme of what CAPT had to offer. Thanks to delays at CAPT, my resume didn't make it in fast enough before they put a hold on things.

Pinnacle was suffering from all sorts of instability along with NWA's mess.

Focus Air is an opportunity with an up-start (which I had enough of in my past career) to be someone's b!tch for a year doing paper pushing (which I can make a lot more outside of aviation and was NOT what I went to CAPT for). Then they offer you FE training for your second year. And in the contract, IF they have availability, they will offer you right seat. That's 2 years and a BIG IF for me.

My goal was to capture a dream after so many years of not knowing I could have done it (thanks high school guidance counselor). I wanted a fast way to get in at my age. I didn't want to waste time with CFI. I wanted a short, intense training to get me qualified. CAPT met all my requirements with a Riddle reputation to boot! After CAPT, with low time, you're not applying anywhere except where THEY decide to sent your resume.

get a corporate job in the right seat, build some time, and go from there. If you don't want to come to Pinnacle thats fine, but first year FO pay is going to be less than what you're expecting anywhere you go. As for the loans, once you're working you can use proof of income to get them defered.

Hey, if you know a corporate job that will take my time, I'm listening.

I think Davison is hiring either at RSN or in BTR, not sure though. I know several people that flew for him from the right seat, low time. Otherwise there is PCL, we'd be glad to have you and again, you can get your loans defered based on income, I'm doing it.

a lot of corp gigs will pay you more in the right seat than youll make in the left seat at a 121...

My house keeper graduated form there about two years ago................. She keeps telling me how a vacuum works but can't use it for some reason.

He He...that was a good one.

I can't seem to find any information on Davison. Does anyone have a web site for them?

wahoo250,

What corporate gig hires low time pilots? Not to bust your bubble but everywhere I look they're looking for hours in the thousands, not low hundreds.

Funny F Ninja- you want everyone else to do all the work for you. You are very lazy! To quote you from some of your past posts-

"Thanks, I gave up on aviation so you can sleep tight now."

"Thanks McNugget for the fuel guy for flight idea. I'm really not interested in making money flying airplanes. And I certainly don't want to be sitting right seat telling some guy "more right rudder" and not flying the plane outside of a 15 NM radius from the airport. :)"

"How to whore myself out?
Does anyone have any information or clarification on FARs regarding someone who is interested in whoring himself out as a pilot? Basically, I'm looking to fly on the weekends (out and backs) but I don't have any money to do so. My credentials:

Private ASEL, AMEL
Commercial ASEL, AMEL
Instrument
459TT/101ME"

Your a real winner F Ninja! I personally would go out of my way to offer you a position flying my aircraft-NOT!!!!
