Did a quick search for any other threads that addressed this question and did not find one (apologies if I missed it). My EX-3 has a Kannad Integra ELT under the pilot seat, no remote panel installed, and no fire extinguisher installed on the seat base. I understand that the EX-3 kit does not come from CC with a remote panel because the ELT switch is accessible by the pilot by reaching down and flipping the toggle switch. The switch is accessible because there's no fire extinguisher installed on the seat base (or anywhere else in the plane for that matter). I don't like the idea of not having a fire extinguisher, nor do I like the idea of having to remember where the toggle switch is and which way to flip it in the event of an actual emergency.

For those who have FX-3s: (i) do you have a remote ELT panel, and (2) do you have a fire extinguisher?

I have the fire extinguisher, no remote panel, not needed. Once you see which way the switch goes you won't forget it. I can access it where it is just fine. I don't plan to mess with it or the fire extinguisher, I plan to escape and call insurance :) Someone mentioned long ago that it's odd to even have the fire extinguisher as the halon will suck the air out and just incapacitate you! The only use I can see is something on the ground and having one readily available. I did have mine interfere with the stick once, it's important that the extinguisher flap handle be facing aft, seat side, I learned.

The extinguisher does not impede access to the ELT. I'm sure you could order an extinguisher from CC and the velcro strap they use.
