Legacy ASA pilots should check out Manks comments on our ALPA web board.... Which no one reads. Why he was removed and offered to just sit in the office and make 6 hours a day...BTW I never read that crap just checked it out earlier today in lieu of the current situation.
Intresting that the duty credit goes away excepte for CDOs that that Neg Chair bids! Also they pay 150% on that credit for Jr Manns and extensions. So each month Ed and the most senior will have no trouble reaching the credit window and work less days but those who bid regular trips will have to work more for less pay. It's kinda how it's been but this will be much worse.
Did you see there is no buffer in the TLV and the min-max window? That means they can jam everyone in a very tight window to try to get everyone to 75 hours or what ever line value they want! it's advertised as a 15 or 20 hour window, but with no buffer it can be as littl as a 1-2 hour window? How you ask /...set the TLV to 75 the Max at 77 then everyone trips will have to add up to between 75 and 77 and it will bypass trips you can hold even if it adds up to 78 hours.....if you set 60 in the PCT the Co can ignore it or if they honor it and you get a 67 hour line you don't get MMG of 75. not just in a vacation month. Thats about 6 months a year you will be jammed to 65-70 and not get 75 hour MMG.
I heard they kicked the PWG out and the subject matter expert "danny" gave advice when he he could stay awake!
Ready for more....ALPA leave stays a 6 hours credit a day! When everyone else is at 75 hours or less they will still pull in 108-120 hours credit a month! Alos there is a list of 20 some odd guys that will be granted fulltime leave. Great we fly more get paid less and they take our dues and don't take a pay cut like the rest of us!
Lets see.. We get a TA, rather quickly. (Compared to the time line up to this point) Other airlines have started using the new rest rules, but Express is waiting to the last min. Hmmm. So if we vote on a new contract before we see the real impact of the FAR 117. The company's plan falls into place? (One of many)
Oh.... That's right. NO to this TA!!
I love the Email explaining we wont comply with FAR 117 until JAN 3rd, or more precisely...JAN 2nd at 11:59.
I've been saying this for months....they wont flip the switch until the VERY LAST POSSIBLE SECOND. Thats how they do everything at ASA!! Always REACTIVE!!
