And other regionals pay better starting out? Look at ASA and Skywest.

I have yet to post on CHQ but this comment has left me stunned. Hey what the hell, you make a little more that a guy flying a 1900 at Colgan, should you be happy about this?
"Well, I fly a 170 for CHQ...but at least I make a buck more than a guy flying a 1900." This is what is sounds like to me.
Your 170/190 pay is a joke. Period. Just keep quiet now.

less for the E145.
3blade said:Half the people on this board are just jealous, don't get too fired up about moronic statements about CHQ payscale its better than over half the other regionals out there and they know it. Theyre just pissed because they know it'll be a million more years before they see the left seat of that P.O.S CRJ they're tooling around in.
Irish Pilot said:So if you have these times are they most likely going to throw you in the 170 or is it still just chance to what they decide to put you in? When do you find out your aircraft designation...once they notifiy you you have been hired I assume?
mwmav8r01 said:Come on you cannot compare Colgan to CHQ. 1900 pay is $20 with no per diem, no contract, no nothing. CHQ isnt the greatest but its not Colgan.

- Are 121 guys still not having to do the sim (the gouge seems to say so)?
- Still a minimal reserve line time?
- What to people think of the 170 so far?
- Whats typical turnaround for resume - interview - class.
- The only bases we have for the 170 are IND, ORD and CMH all of which are for our Shuttle America ops. This flying is done for United and Delta.
We have yet to get any aircraft for Republic Airlines, our US Airways ops. The 170's are coming from Mid-Atlantic seemingly under the J4J agreement but ALPA is still arguing the can of worms for US pilots. The rumor mill is that potential bases will be PIT, PHL and I think DCA (don't quote me).
- Reserve hasn't been too bad, keeping in mind that we've only had the 170's about 10 months now. I think new hires have been sittingonly a few weeks reserve if they sit reserve at all. The routestructure has been growing and schedules have been good but everyone knows it can always slow down.
- Our pilots and flight attendants, not to mention passengers, love the airplane. It flys really well and is really comfortable in the cabin.
- Resume/interview time seems to vary from person to person. But, as always, the squeaky wheel gets the oil.
Hope this helps.
