I am guessing since they can pick and choose who they want to hire these days, do they hire anyone without an ATP. Just waiting to upgrade here in the regional world, but I have always wanted NJ. Should I just apply or what for the ATP or make a run and get a quick ATP. Have little over the 2500 and 1500 jet sic.
To qualify as a NetJets Aviation, Inc. (Citation, Hawker, Falcon, Gulfstream 200, Boeing aircraft) pilot candidate you must have the following prerequisites:
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land)
Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
2500 hours total pilot time
500 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
250 hours instrument time (actual or simulated in flight - excludes simulator time)
NetJets International (Gulfstream large cabin aircraft) Pilot Requirements:
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land)
Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
5000 hours total pilot time
500 Gulfstream hours (preferred)
Gulfstream type rating (preferred)
Crewmembers must live in the Continental US and within 1 hour of an airport with scheduled airline service
If you meet all of the other prerequisites and really want to come to NetJets, go out and get the ATP and then apply. I'd suggest getting the ATP as soon as you can as there are a lot of applications coming in.
No they won't. However, send in your resume now and update it when you meet the mins. They will keep it on file. Went threw the same situation with a friend of mine recently.
They have changed the way the are hiring a lot. From what I understand, they will only keep your application on file for 6 months or so and then you have to apply again. That being said, If I were you I would just get the ATP and then apply. In the mean time get your recs together for when you do meet the mins.
