Competitive experience levels will be measured by the volume and quality of your applicant peers.
The first wave (in this case mostly all hired unitl May) is all about the level of the internal contacts helping someone. Plain and simple.
I know that is rough to hear, but it's true.
Make something happen, that is the only way. This may be really offensive but also true, if those 14 years in the military were not as a pilot.... they are not going to make that much of a difference. Although I think they should make a difference... it shows you have many qualities they desire, even of their basic employees.
Find some internal help...knock on doors.... it works.
