But I started this well before the slide, when things were going up up and up. United contract 2000, Delta contract 2001, Comair and AWAC contract 2001, United, AA were hiring 100 pilots a month and just about every other career airline hiring. No one in their right mind would have hesitated pursuing this career back then. But now? All I can say is please youngsters of the country, stop entering this field and let the pool dry up. There is nothing here for you.
