I told GL a few weeks ago to quit mentioning over and over and over how Delta's cost reductions were going to save the day. When he does post on this thread, look for "the 2.1 billion in cost savings haven't kicked in yet." It doesn't work that way.

But the loss of revenue with simplifares sure has kicked in. I think Bethune was right, this is a race to see who will be the last one standing.

I don't know where this woman has been, but DL lost its full service image a long time ago.

My personal take it is a last ditched effort by Delta to inflict as much financial pain on Air Tran and to a lesser extent Jet Blue before an inevitable bankruptcy filing. There is no way DAL can climb out of the crushing debt they are under without eventual court protection.

You are correct though. I will bet the numbers for 1Q are going to be shocking. Add with the rise in oil, it will be really ugly.

Most of their Flight Attendants I see seem to be full figured. Sorry, I see now you wrote full service. I wouldn't be interested in that from them either.
