What, no mention of the "evil AirTran"?

We're usually the one they pick to blame for their own buffoonery.

It's all Airtran's fault. If they hadn't started up and treated their passengers properly, none of this would have ever happened!!!

How's that?

Ahhh... What the heck... that last bit of dough in they're pocket is burning a hole I suspect....

Hey Ty.... What a bout Johny CASH. on the AVTAR.??..

FWIW:

"Delta Chapter 11 Could Come 'Shortly'
Delta appears headed for bankruptcy this year. So says Barbara Beyer at Avmark Aviation. She also tells MarketWatch's John Wordock the troubled carrier is in grave danger of losing its full-service image."

I told GL a few weeks ago to quit mentioning over and over and over how Delta's cost reductions were going to save the day. When he does post on this thread, look for "the 2.1 billion in cost savings haven't kicked in yet." It doesn't work that way.

But the loss of revenue with simplifares sure has kicked in. I think Bethune was right, this is a race to see who will be the last one standing.

"But the loss of revenue with simplifares sure has kicked in".

Not sure it has, simplifares have only just begun!

I don't know where this woman has been, but DL lost its full service image a long time ago.

Well, she sounded about 90 so she is probably stuck in the PAA flying boat days!

My personal take it is a last ditched effort by Delta to inflict as much financial pain on Air Tran and to a lesser extent Jet Blue before an inevitable bankruptcy filing. There is no way DAL can climb out of the crushing debt they are under without eventual court protection.

You are correct though. I will bet the numbers for 1Q are going to be shocking. Add with the rise in oil, it will be really ugly.

Most of their Flight Attendants I see seem to be full figured. Sorry, I see now you wrote full service. I wouldn't be interested in that from them either.
