Per their own website:
http://www.floridaair.com/discoverair/da_news.html
"Airline Training Academy, the parent company of Discover Air, was also toured by the Governor. "
That's right. Discover Air's own website states that Discover Air is a subsidiary of Airline Training Academy. So if Airline Training Academy is out of business and allegedly filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, can it's subsidiaries continue to operate?
More interestingly, can it be shown that Airline Training Academy management funneled money, (read: students $60,000 tuitions) into Discover Air, while planning to close the flight academy? If so, it sounds like fraud to me. And as we all know, debts accrued by means of fraud cannot be discharged through bankruptcy proceedings.
Here's another couple of interesting items. I've read that we can still call the Discover Air toll free reservations line and make reservations on Discover Air. Additionally, it appears that the choice of destinations available through Discover Air has been bumped up, big time. Check the "Destinations" section of Discover Air's website and you'll find that their destinations now include, (courtesy of "Vacation Express"), Cincinnati, Charlotte, Atlanta, Louisville, and many, many other major markets.
