MD-88 trips look a whole lot like DC9 trips I am sure. In and out of ATL or your base 3-5 legs a day, switch crews and airplanes everytime you go through a hub. Stay with a whole crew NEVER. There are some good 88 schedules but you need to be in the top half of the seniority list to get them.

FWIW the NYC88 flying will probably change quite a bit with the shuttle flying going away. I honestly think the two worst things about the flying is the tri-base coverage (getting to EWR from the crashpad is a pain) and the commutability of the trips. It seems like there is a fair share of day trips. EWR trips look mostly like 2 day trips. The shuttle might have you fly 5 legs in a day, whereas the FL turns out of LGA make for 2 leg days. Alot of the 4 day trips route you thru ATL or fly back and forth from FL to BDL.
