I have a friend that flies the 604 for DPJ. He was a former starcheck driver, starcheckdriver. I think he's still flying it..

And that buddy has a good buddy that works at XO and doesn't want to interview there. For some odd reason he'd rather stay at DPJ. Either he's nuts or DPJ can't be that bad???

Has anyone ever declined to sign the contract there? if so what happened?

Pilots will cave and sign because they need the job. If a pilot does not sign it, then he/she will be seperated from the company once no longer current. Management does not understand that this 'contract of adhesion' will not prevent an employee from leaving the company. If an employee finds a company that offers the basics(average pay, vacation, sick time, health care) he/she will be gone.

Here's a funny story...I applied and phone interviewed with the CP at Segraves in '08. I was out of currency in the 60 but still offered the position if I was willing to pay for my recurrent. He stated that a lawyer, trying to get back into aviation, was willing to pay and if I wasn't then the job was his.
I didn't get the job..

Not sure if anyone has said no. With 28 percent attrition it is certainly possible.
