Oh Howie......really? Trying to compare Comair and DL to you two? I can assure you, Comair did, and every DCI carrier does follow whatever DL tells them to do. You know that! Your planes say "bags fly free here" with an arrow, but not at your wholly owned subsidiary. A bit fishy? Uhhhh, yeah..... And you know it HOWIE.....
Good try genius! So, AirTran keeps all their bag profits? They do? Riiiiiiiiiight. It funds their operation? Who pulls the strings? You know the answer....
Bye Bye---General Lee
What do WN's baggage fees or lack thereof have to do with DL's hiring?
How about certain airlines advertising "No bag fees", yet their subsidiary still does?

Really? This is the best argument you have? (Actually it's one of the only arguments you have). And it's a pretty lame one. Howard already pretty much demolished it above, and now you're doubling down on stupidity.
Again, Southwest and AirTran are two completely different airlines with different models, who just happened to be owned by the same owners. Get it through your thick head, General: they are NOT the same airline with different rules, no matter how much you shout it.
AirTran is a hub-and-spoke airline that makes money by charging bag fees, just like Delta. Take away that, and what happens? (I'll give you a hint: what would happen if Delta suddenly stopped charging bag fees?). As parts of AirTran become Southwest, ALL aspects change to Southwest. That includes the way the brand is marketed and displayed, and how the model is run financially and operationally. That is, WHEN they're Southwest, they'll BE Southwest in all aspects.
Until then, they're still a different airline, run the way they've been run, in a manner to make money.
I have to say that I feel pretty good about my company when it's biggest hater can only denigrate us by saying things that essentially boil down to: "Hey, another airline, that's completely different, but that you happen to own, has a different pricing model than yours! You're idiots!" The only way that I can think of that would make yours an even stupider "sour grapes" argument, is to add another of those idiotic PFT comments.
You're losing it, General. All you're doing is making yourself look bad with stupid comments like that.

Says the Village Idiot.
I thought we were talking about Delta's fleet plans being fluid.
Delta was forced to get rid of those small RJ's. DALPA bit on a deal for larger RJ's. Unbelievable. Complete failure.
Thanks Bubba, you still can't explain who actually gets the bag fee money, and all of your planes say "free bags go here." What a complete joke, and we all know it. Your once great LCC is becoming a legacy, and that worries GK. It will be interesting to watch what happens next. Have a great one!

Ummmmm, DL got great replacements in the form of YOUR 717s. Thanks, and you will pay $140 million for the transaction. Those will replace 76 seaters, which will replace 50 seaters on their old routes. That is called FANTASTIC. 3 times as many 50 seaters will be leaving compared to incoming 76 seaters (215 vs 70), and mainline 717s will come in and take over. AWESOME.
And Red, the Delta fleet plans aren't fluid, the 10 757s leaving are actually a smaller number than originally thought by next June (someone said 14 were going to go, and now it looks like 10). But, 88 717s are still coming, and that's great for mainline. Have a FANTASTIC day.
