The fact that you only need roughly 10,500 pilots when you already have over 12,500+ pilots. Surely, 2000+ pilots can't be out on sick, FMLA, and military leave.

There are over 2,000 pilots in non bid categories. The list you posted is for active pilots. There are over 700 just on sick leave, that doesn't include supervisory pilots, furlough bypass, or mil leave pilots. There are a total of 12,255 on the list.

Hey A$sclown haters (not you Flyer) with no clue what they are talking about.....

-We just lost 192 pilots due to early outs.
-We have a slot swap due to be completed which will require 300-400 more pilots due to increased block hours.
-The Pilot Rest rules are due to change soon FOR THE BETTER. (read: more pilots)
-Company shocked how many Pilots AREN'T making 65 and all they have to do is drop paperwork and quit the next day....if a 777 Capt. leaves it takes a number of movements to train to that position.

This is nothing I have made up.....all from management roadshow 2 weeks ago.....then again the plan changes every three days.

Looks like furloughs or paycuts...or probably both.

Youre a stupid sh!thead. Hiring next year to offset the retirements. Order for aircraft by labor day in the neighborhood of 150 plus, profitable quarter...

Pull your head out of your ass, no wait, push it further in!

Not to mention instructors, management, special projects, training, etc.

Sweet! A profitable quarter! That one will hopefully offset the dozens of unprofitable quarters. What's with the profit turn around? Did you guys agree to more concessions? (I wouldn't doubt that you guys at least offered them up). Or did you just give more mainline flying away to your RJ codeshare partners? You probably did both. Hope the furloughs & paycuts go well!

Tanker Clown:
How many Delta pilots had their way with your old lady?
You sure are one bitter dude!

All airlines will be understaffed soon after the mandated rest requirements become final.

Enough said. Can we close this thread now.

Hey Midge, not bitter. Just sad that pilots gladly gave away pay and flying. Not much better than a scab really. Thanks for nothing Deltoidss.
