We did not fly ALPA defined struck work Fins, but we did fly CMR passengers in CMR aircraft during their strike.... Why wasn't that "struck work"? I never once said we flew "struck work".

What is so magic about the term "struck work"? We have an ALPA committee chairman who did fly "struck work" and is a scab. We did fly CMR passengers in CMR aircraft while they were on strike. We are now accepting CMR 700s.... Everyone needs to get real with this ALPA propaganda..... It has been and continues to be a huge failure.

I know you understand this, and I can't understand why you are defending ALPA.....

The company is now valued at .5 million less than USair was willing to pay. The executives didn't want it because they wouldn't get "paid" ie. stock cash out since most would be removed during the merger. They will need a few months to take the cash out of the company that they transfered from the pilots and other employees during the "mock" bankruptcy.

The Delta pilots had a lot to do with ALPA's toothless definition of struck work in 2001. Technically, ALPA looked the other way - in all likelihood, at least a contributing factor as to why the strike dragged on for three months.

Remember, the Delta pilots already had their new TA by the time we went on strike. A meaningful struck work policy would have really crippled the mothership which the Delta pilots, agreement in hand, were reluctant to do.
