Nothing but empathy for that crew right now.
 
They were probably throwing their empties out the windows instead of declaring an emergency.

Hurts don't it. Now the shoe is on the other foot. A mistake was made and you are right. It could happen to anyone of us. Seems like when we make a mistake we are DANGEROUS and a bunch of WILD COWBOYS.

I work for the same company you do. It was still out of line.
 
If the military flew snowy sorties we wouldn't be having this conversation.
 
They got a wind check. They followed Delta SOP. Must have missed a call on guard.

Honestly though, unless I am wrong, tower gave braking action for the other runway, but not theirs. Looking at the pictures the runway was obviously contaminated.
